We See Green, it's our responsibility
Cottonwood Printing feels like it has a responsibility to ensure that we do everything possible within our means to minimize any effect our manufacturing process may have on our environment and community.
The Printing Industry has the unfortunate ability to substantially pollute and generate waste that is burdensome on our environment and planet. Cottonwood does not want to be a part of that group, and we take great pride in our efforts to separate ourselves from the policies and procedures of many others in the effort to do the right thing.
What can we do?
When working with Cottonwood you can be confident that we use the greenest process in New Mexico.
Green processes only used at Cottonwood:
- All paper that is not delivered as a part of the finish product is recycled.
- All used lithographic plates are recycled for their aluminum.
- "Process-less" lithographic plates use no chemicals to develop photo sensitive materials. Therefore Cottonwood does not need to dispose of harmful chemicals.
- All used and waste inks are recycled.
- Cottonwood Printing Co. utilizes a reusable shop towel service that is laundered in a manner that is award winning in our community for maintaining water quality.
- All corrugated cardboard is recycled.
- Cottonwood Printing Co. is proactive in finding papers with desirable recycle content and post consumer waste content increase your awareness of the recycled paper options available to you as a client.
